Créé en 2014 par French Morning pour réunir tous les acteurs de l’éducation bilingue à New York, et offrir un lieu unique aux familles pour découvrir toutes les options disponibles, la Bilingual Fair est de retour samedi 7 novembre 2026, de 10am à 3pm.

Cette année encore, French Morning s’est allié aux Services culturels de l’Ambassade de France qui accueillent ce salon dans les magnifiques locaux de la Villa Albertine.

Ce salon est rendu possible par le soutien de nos sponsors: le Lycée Français de New York, et Petits Poussins (VHG Group).

La participation est gratuite, mais l’inscription obligatoire.

Sur place, une vingtaine d’exposants présenteront leur offre en matière d’éducation bilingue français-anglais : écoles privées et publiques, programmes d’after schools, soutien scolaire… Vous pourrez rencontrer les représentants des écoles, tous réunis en un seul endroit pour la journée.

Programme de conférences

Outre les exposants, la Bilingual Fair offre également un programme de conférences, en audience réduite, autour de thèmes permettant de mieux comprendre les exigences de l’éducation bilingue. Le programme :

11am – The joy of raising bilingual children: Advantages, strategies, and challenges (Workshop)
🎙️ Presenter: Miriam E. Ebsworth, Associate Professor of English Education, NYU
👉 Workshop Description: The joy of raising bilingual children: Advantages, strategies, and challenges workshop is a 45-minute interactive session where Miriam will go over experiences in bilingual education and the advantages and challenges of raising bilingual children.

12pm – Read in 2 Languages: Empowering Families, Enriching Classrooms (Workshop)
🎙️ Presenter: Madison Nguyen, Multilingual Education Specialist, Center for the Advancement of Languages, Education, and Communities (CALEC)
👉 Workshop Description: The Read in 2 Languages: Empowering Families, Enriching Classrooms workshop is a 45-minute interactive session designed for parents and education professionals to explore the power of bilingual literacy through CALEC’s Ri2L (Read in 2 Languages) platform. This workshop emphasizes the idea that every book can be a bridge between languages, cultures, and generations, fostering biliteracy at home and in school.

1 pm – Portrait of Graduate: The State Seal of Biliteracy and IB High Schools

2 pm – Study, Lead, Connect: Opportunities with Villa Albertine
🎙️ Presenter: Jasmine Deborde, Higher Education Officer
👉 Workshop Description: Learn about academic, leadership, and mobility opportunities connecting students and emerging leaders across the Atlantic. Discover flagship initiatives such as the Lafayette Fellowship, which supports outstanding American students pursuing graduate studies in France, and TAPIF (Teaching Assistant Program in France), which offers participants the opportunity to gain professional experience while fostering cultural and educational exchange between France and the United States.
